Dinner

How much does dinner mean to you? For me, it's one of the highlights of my day. I love being able to make a well-balanced, delicious meal and then EAT it! Tonight we had tacos-with ELK meat (yikes!), celery with peanut butter, and grilled pineapple.
So easy+so yummy=A great end to the day!

New Car!!!!

So when Chris got a manual car, I asked him if you could tell the difference between a manual and automatic car from watching it drive. He told me that a manual will lurch forward a little as the driver shifts. I thought "that's funny. My automatic Corolla lurches a little as it switches gears." And so I went on with my life, puzzled a bit by if I could be cool enough to tell the difference of cars around me as I drove-it became a game to entertain me on my drives to and from work.

Well today I got a new car (well, almost new). Chris spent an amazing amount of time being my knight in shining armor. He toiled under my car, replacing black goo with cherry red fluid, and presented me with a new automatic car. I didn't even feel my Corolla shifting as we went on a 'test drive'!!!! It's amazing and I love having my transmission fluid changed! Hooray for a fabulous husband and a 'like-new' car! :) I love you, Chris!

Fun at the Cabin

I love love love skiing and I love love love my family...thus my last weekend was a perfect combination of the two! Chris and I went down to Brian Head with my family and skied our hearts out. The first day was icy and fast...and the second day was perfect powder and SO much fun. I even went through the trees with mom and Spencer. What a fun trip and I can't wait to go back!!!

Valentine's Day

Our Valentine's started out with a super fun dance! We had a great time spinning around the floor, seeing lots of fun friends, and eating delicious food dipped in chocolate from the fountains! Chris spoiled me with lovely meals and cute heart shaped biscuits for our breakfast of biscuits and gravy. How did I get soo lucky??

Pep Boys is of the DEVIL

READ THIS BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK OF TAKING A CAR TO PEP BOYS!

LAS VEGAS EXPERIENCE REVIEW
What a joke. This is the worst company I have ever encountered. I took my car in after my timing belt broke. They diagnosed that they needed to replace the timing belt and water pump. I gave the OK. A week later when they finally got around to working on my car, they discovered that part of the engine needed to be replaced. Three days later the WHOLE engine needed to be replaced. As I needed the car to get back home, I had to have it fixed. What do you know when they "discover" that the whole transmission is shot, too. What a pack of crappy liars. I am so disgusted. They said it would be ready January 2. Not. Now January 8. Not. January 20. Of course it wasn't ready. Now January 22. No call. Finally on January 26 I called and it was ready to go. They even said they took it on a 30 mile test drive. I drove 300 miles to come pick it up and I was an hour out of Vegas and the speed sensor "broke"...coincidence? Of course not. I puttered home and now have my car in to get fixed (the check engine light came on, the windshield fluid no longer comes out, and the power steering fluid is leaking) at Pep Boys at home. I thought that maybe they would do a decent job, but again I am dealing with the same crappy service. The ONLY reason my car is at PepBoys is for the warranty. After this I will NEVER be taking any business there AGAIN. I fully recommend this to anyone who has a mind to have fair and decent service to their car! WHAT A JOKE!

OREM REVIEW
Took my car in to get it fixed from Las Vegas Pep Boys not completing the service. All it needed was a speed sensor put in. Took it in on Friday and was told I would receive a phone call on the diagnostic in 2 hours...of course they didn't call until Saturday late morning. Said they had to order the sensor and would have it ready by Monday. I should not have been surprised when it was not in on Monday. They got it on Tuesday and said the process would take 10 minutes. I called in the afternoon and they told me they would start in 45 minutes. Did they have it done 3 hours later? OF COURSE NOT! A 10 minute job to fix what their company had already screwed up is STILL not done. I will NEVER take a car back to PepBoys anywhere and will fully recommend this action for anyone who expects good...or even decent service!

The Best Husband in the WORLD!

Chris "kidnapped" me and took me to Anniversary Inn last night. He is the best husband in the world. This week has been a really hard, stressful, frustrating week because of a lot of different things. My wonderful husband took it upon himself to let me (and him!) relax away from the stresses of life for a night. We spent the night in a covered wagon, "just outside a saloon in Jackson Hole" (the saloon doors led to the bathroom). It was so fun! The shower water came out of bottles tipped upside down and the entrance to the shower were saloon doors! We enjoyed a fabulous Domino's dinner-my favorite-, delicious lemon bars from Sara, cheesecake from the Inn, and the most amazing breakfast in the morning. I love my husband so much and am so grateful for his kindness towards me all the time. Thank you for a super stress-free get-away, Chris!

Weekend Away

Chris and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Brian Head at my parent's cabin. My favorite part was that we went for a walk...or should I say trudge through the beautiful snow in the backyard. I thought it would be fun to explore so we put on our snow pants and boots and set out. Well, the snow was up to our knees and at one point Chris sank to his hip! It was so fun! Chris had snow gloves on so he laid down and swam through the snow-I had a few times where I almost lost a boot trying to pull my foot up to take another step. By the end, we did the barrel roll across the snow for about 10 feet before we were too dizzy to go anymore. It was a blast! We also played darts for the first time together. I wish I knew how to get pictures from my phone to the computer because I got a bulls eye! Then Chris got double bulls eye!!! We had a great time and can't wait to go back!
