We had a family reunion in Yosemite and had the grandest time. The girls were at a slight disadvantage as Katie was 6 months prego and I was recovering from my broken fibula. But we had so so much fun and saw amazing waterfalls, cliffs, trails, and laughed our heads off. We ate delicious food (thanks, dad!), had roaring campfires (way to go, boys), and enjoyed lovely chats all day every day.
Can't wait to go back!
Our first stop: Hetch Hetchy Reservoir
Just to the left of my head is the waterfall we hiked to.
Lots of tunnels in Yosemite. This was the beginning of the hike.
The waterfall!
The water was icy but all the boys wanted to prove their manliness.
Brrrr!!!
The manly men themselves.
Indiana Jones came along with us
Hetch Hetchy Reservoir
The boys found a slippery slide rock and had a ton of fun.
Hiking buddies.
A waterfall along the side of the road.
Mirror Lake just below Half Dome. Because it was late summer, it was more like a pond than a lake, but it was pretty.
This is why it is called Mirror Lake. That's Half Dome.
Hiking back to the car. Another manly man shot.
Girly girls.
Swimming in the Merced River. It was not warm.
Chris waiting for Spence.
Good job, boys!
Our friend the bear.
Lower Yosemite Falls
Spence and me with Yosemite Falls.
Yosemite Falls is the highest waterfall in North America, 5th in the world!
Vernal Falls-beautiful!
Vernal Falls
Above and to the right of Chris's head is Nevada Falls. We hiked to the top!
At the top of Nevada where it drops off.
No, we were not in the water.
There was a bridge.

My strong mom!
Cool shot of Nathan, Spencer, and me
Hiking down Nevada Falls. Gorgeous!
Looking over Vernal Falls

Yosemite Valley. The waterfall to the right is Bridalveil.

Grizzly Giant coming out of Chris's head. One of it's branches is 8 feet in diameter!
