Happy 9 months, sweet Savannah!
You can crawl! Hooray for this day! This has been so fun to watch you learn how to navigate around the apartment. It has dramatically helped your separation anxiety as you can just follow us from room to room. You love the kitchen...even though you can't open any cupboards...maybe it's just a new room that you have hardly been in before. You also love the bathrooms (maybe it's the non-carpeted floor??) and cry if the door is closed, regardless of if someone is in the bathroom or not. You have started to be a little daring in where you crawl-over and under and through chairs, the highchair, toys, it's fun to watch you explore.
You are eating more foods! For breakfast you like to have pancakes with us, bananas, cheerios, or yogurt bites. You tried waffles twice but gagged on them both times-maybe they are too dry? Lunch is usually a fruit (LOVE pears, like peaches, tried avocados, like mangoes), bread (gerber snacks, cheerios), maybe a veggie and yogurt or yogurt bites. Lunchtime has become quite the production and a loooonger adventure with you eating solids. Dinner is a bread (cereal, cheerios, piece of bread, gerber snacks), veggie (LOVE green beans, like carrots-but don't swallow them), protein (yogurt, bits of hamburger, refried beans), and something new we are eating we think it would be fun for you to try. You really like to chew and chew and chew...and chew but we would love to see some more swallowing happen!
1st time in the pool-LOVED it! And loved your yellow floaty ring that will save mommy's arms this summer.
1st time in the sand at the park. You explored a little at first but now you love it. You comb your fingers through it, pick up fistfuls to hold over your shoulders and dump on/down your shirt, and hardly put it in your mouth...unless you find a leaf or stick.
My friend Sarah watched you while we went to the temple this month and you were SO good! You took a nap for her and woke up happy-the only time you cried was when we walked back in the door and said hello! This is good because we expect to go on many more dates and want you to be happy while we are gone.
You just popped through tooth #7. Lovely. This made for some lovely nights and diapers.
We lowered your crib mattress! You learned to pull up in your crib. You like to sit up now during the night and your naps. Unfortunately you do not lay yourself back down yet, even though you can. You have also been caught standing up in your crib once by each mommy and daddy. You are growing up so fast!
What funny faces you makes. You make a cheesy grin/squinty eyes, huff and puff through your nose, circle your mouth in an "o", and otherwise experimenting with those cute little lips of yours.
We love you, little girl!
